Kay Redfield once said, “Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.” Research shows that unstructured, self-directed play is essential for little one’s healthy development. Play is vital to children’s learning, growth, confidence, and well-being. Variety in play and structured play are the main types of play.
While we already have many initiatives for our youth through our “Children Matter” program, such as Back 2 Rally, Vacation Bible School, Easter Egg Hunts, and Health Fair, we still have much to accomplish. We must now plant a safe place for children to play and explore. The KIRM COMMUNITY PARK is how we provide a safe place for children to play, which” is a necessity.” We are in need of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), and we need you! One of our fundraising efforts is our “Memorial Brick Wall” Campaign. Each brick will be encased in the wall, commemorating loved ones who have gone on before us. We must have you be a part of this vital project for the KIRM COMMUNITY PARK.
